Han has been one of our boys for a long time. His art represents his frustrations, anger, and apathy towards society and the current political state of both New York State and America as a whole. On top of it all he recently created his own clothing line aptly named “Rotten Apple Apparel”.
Rotten Apple is an extremely limited edition line, and Lifted is proud to carry it in our store. Dogan grew up in Rome NY, and now resides in Albany, NY. Check out the short video interview I did with him earlier today over a delicious cold brewski. Follow the links below to see what Han has going on, and be sure to check out his artist profile on www.LiftedLife.com.

So here we are with summer in full swing, birds chirping, beers cracking, and kick-flips being landed….oh oh…and let’s not forget the lake, god I love that lake. Here’s some info on a couple of awesome up coming events we have going on in the next couple weeks.
First off, this Saturday July 23rd is The Mill’s 2nd annual Pig Roast. Last year was a ridiculous amount of fun, and we’re totally pumped to rock out again this year. Tons of food, beer, and giveaways all for $30($25 if you buy pre-sale).
A little added bonus is that it’s only two doors down from the shop, which means that in a full of food drunken stupor you can mosey on down to check out some of the latest arrivals at the shop. There will be 25% off for anyone who has a Mill Pig Roast Ticket in hand(saturday only). As always our fridge will be stocked with some frosty cold ones for those who enjoy a nice sarsaparilla while picking out fresh threads. Check out The Mill’s Facebook page at The Mill.
We are extremely excited to say that we’re a sponsor of this years Krockathon 16. Being someone that hasn’t been able to go for almost the past…..ok…a lot of years, I’m really looking forward to checking it out again. I mean come on, what could
be better than 13 huge bands including Stone Temple Pilots, Bush, Drop Kick Murphys, and a ton more. Those three alone are good enough for me! Check out the full Line-Up at Krockathon 16 Lineup.
So you may be asking yourself(or maybe not…jerk!) what Lifted Apparel & Boardshop has in store for our booth at Krockathon 16? Well, other than some awesome deals including $15 t-shirts, or two for $25 from brands like Volcom, Oakley, Quiksilver, Roxy, and Neff to name a few, we’re also bringing the High Striker carnival game.
That’s right tough guys and girls! Think you can hit the bell!?!? Well if you do, you’ll win some sweet Lifted gear. I suggest getting a good warm up stretch going on in the beer tent.
Also joining us will be Lifted, and Lava Night Club Team motocross rider Johnny Vergalito signing autographs and various body parts with his winning bike on display. You can read more about Johnny and the rest of the Lifted Boardshop Team at Lifted Apparel & Boardshop Team Riders.
We hope to see all of you there!!
GET LIFTED!
Dear Lifted Family,
I would just like to start out by saying, on behalf of everyone here at Lifted and myself…THANK YOU! We can’t even begin to tell you how grateful we are for all of your support throughout the past few years. With your continued support we will keep trying our best to provide the same great products, lifestyle, and events that all of you have grown to know and love.
“Lifted began as a simple outlook on life, do what does and always will make you happy”. I still think about that saying on a daily basis. I think about what it meant back in 2007 when I wrote the line, and what it means now years later. Before Lifted began Kyle, Rachel, and myself were working at a local Ski/Bike shop about 20min from our home town. I had recently graduated college from Arizona State, when I decided to move back to New York, and Kyle hooked me up with a much needed job. Something was missing during our time there, and we saw our ideas moving in a different direction, and needed a way to vent those ideas. Lifted was born.
We started out in the lower level of Kyle and Rachel’s father’s accounting office in a room that was just slightly larger than most people’s bedrooms, with a couple credit cards and a few thousand dollars pooled between the three of us.
What this means now I think, “doing what makes you happy”, has more to do with doing what it takes to make you happy. It’s the sacrifices you make, and work you put in to reach your goals. It’s also about the experiences, knowledge, and relationships you create during that journey.
We are extremely busy these days. Over the past two years our company has grown by 200%. As of last summer we moved into a new location right here in Rome on Dominick St., and are now currently adding another 1,400sq/ft to our storefront, and are launching our brand new and much anticipated e-commerce site.
The website (www.LiftedLife.com) is something that we have always been pushing and gravitating towards. A few years ago we had the site in development, but due to some less than desirable circumstance with the company who was building it we were unable to launch the site. Here we are now two years later; slightly more mature and more in tune with what our customers are looking for. The two year wait, was somewhat of a blessing in disguise perhaps. It gave us time to grow as a company, argue, laugh, problem solve and succeed as a team, and all in all become a better business and better friends.

Through this growth period we’ve meet some great people. Industry leaders and brand reps that helped us grow, and gave us the tools to help their brands grow and expand into the lives of the thousands of great customers who walk through our doors every season.
Most importantly we can’t leave out our families and friends. You guys are amazing people. You are the most important piece of this puzzle, and if it wasn’t for all of you we would certainly not be here today….Thank You, and we Love You All.
Special Thanks To: The Gabes, Sharon and Frank Puma, Dustin Livingston, Bob Carrier(Bab!), Kevin Cross, Matt Sneed and everyone at Syntive(if you need a site built these guys are it!), Joe Patane, The Lifted Team, The Mill, All the Groms helping out for free, Justin Gualtieri, All of our awesome reps for believing in us, Ann Pohl at NBT, Dave Peroni(the voice), Rome N.Y, Erik Wilson at Lab, and of course…God.
Sincerely,
Gabe Sbarglia, Kyle Puma, Rachel Puma, and The Lifted Crew
